Phase 1 focused on the question, “Are we united enough in what we believe and how we practice it to be one church?”
To explore that question, we did something scary: We looked for things that would split the church.
We reserved the details of the Phase 1 findings for the leadership. But in general, we found that the issue of remarriage after divorce is our highest-risk issue. And if we can resolve this issue with holiness and grace, we can think we can stay together.
